Default Torque converter options?

I need to get a new converter for my car. When I ran Stock I always used ATI and was reasonably happy with them. After a long absence from racing I am finally coming back next year with the same car but basically nothing but the body is the same. Will now be a SS/AS car. I know a lot has changed in 12 years so I am looking for recommendations on a converter company. Will be a C4 transmission. Not saying I won't use a ATI again, just looking for options. Thanks.

Jay, Frank Lupo's Dynamic Convertors is certainly one to talk with. When you call, tell them it's for a Super Stock application and they will connect you with Frank...he handles all the Stock and Super Stock stuff. They are a sponsor of our Midwest Class Racers events, so make sure and mention this. -Al

Certainly can’t go wrong with ATI. They are right at the top. Charlie Plott is the one I always talked to in the class type cars.

ATI is who we have always used. We have had nothing but success with them for over 40 years. Give me a call and I can take care of getting you the converter that you

After Munsinger I discovered ATI, it sure was nice to get a converter that was duplicatable, and in 2 weeks as well, I've bought at least 50 converters from ATI...........then I was informed they decided it would be a good idea to discontinue the Opel 8 inch case core, I will never buy a ATI again. To Charlies credit, he knew I was very specific in what I wanted, he did tell me up front the Opel core was no longer available and did disclose the new core was heavier than the Opel.

PTC built me a real nice piece!
