Very cool video indeed,,,,loved seeing and hearing the stick cars,,life was good back then. I really liked the early Pro Stock cars, especially The Gapp & Roush Maverick from the pre Pinto and "Taxi" days,,,,neat stuff! Danny Durham

I drove a Boss 302Mustang one day on the street. It had slicks on it and I kept trying higher and higher launch rpms because the engine wanted to drop too low when I let out the clutch.....sounded a lot like that video! Those little engines had some really big intake ports........I always felt it was a dog compared to some smallblock Chevs I drove on the street. A good Z with some decent rear gear would paste that Boss and I also had a '70 Yenko Deuce at my disposal for a few weeks. I swapped in a 302 Z engine when the original 350 blew up.......That Yenko ran 12.6 street driven with the original 350 and the 302 I installed was a race engine and was probably faster.....The same guy owned all those cars over a short period of a couple years. A '69 Z/28 racecar and it was a beautifull car all black with white stripes and houndstooth seats. A '70 Boss 302 Mustang and a 70 Yenko Deuce.......He had more but those 3 alone would bring some really big money at Barrett-Jackson....I'm watching it right now.....I would love to own that black '69 Z/28 today and would never sell it......

Very, very cool! Great era for drag racing. Those Pro Stock cars had personality.
