Default Shift Time

I’m a bit new to this box thing and would like to get a feeling for the 1st to 2nd shift point on time for a turbo 400, 3 speed. What is the around about time setting for this shift?

Thank you for your help,
Glenn

If you're running flat out,no throttle stop, set your 1-2 shift point at approximately your 60' e.t .to start. ....set the 2-3 shift a little over your 330'e.t. to start and adjust accordingly......If you're on the throttle stop, shift the 1-2 0.10 sec after your stop comes on and the 2-3 after the stop goes off. ......Thas how we run our S/ST car with a Turbo. ............ Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks, you hit it right on the head. At 1.30 and 3.80 the car went 9.02 @ 152+. at 3500k off the line. Never saw a hint of shift light. Next week I will move the lunch to 4500K and add some time. It drove like a boat, it was great. Thanks again for all your help.

Glenn
