Default U.S. National Schedule

Follow the link to the U.S. National Schedule. Stock and Super Stock class racing on the same day, Thursday. First RD Friday. What does everyone think? I like how the old schedule was before COVID

God forbid we don't leave enough time for the numerous 2Fast2Tasty challenges, the Pep Boys Callouts, and whatever other sideshows will fill the program.
Although, in fairness, don't all of those programs run in concurrence with the Pro Qualifying sessions? So there shouldn't be much schedule impact?

The quotas are down a little from years past. What is the excuse now?

And all of this implies that there be no (or otherwise very limited) teardowns this year.

Unhappy Re: U.S. National Schedule

I didn't like it last year, and I still don't like it this year. The schedule prior to last year was Stock Class on Thursday and Super Stock Class (including the Hemi Challenge) on Friday. Just about everyone liked it; so why change it. The Jeg's Allstars are gone, so that excuse has been taken away. If it ain't broke; don't fix it.

This is completely ridiculous on NHRA's part. When we started going to indy in 2000's the entry allowed 200 for all sportsman classes. We had separate days for class and a teardown day thereafter. I understood "Covid" and I understood the All Stars, but with both gone how can we not at least have separate days for class??? Mr. Peterson is who we all need to reach out to in order to move the schedule to reflect the "indy of old...ish". Pro car counts are down, sportsman quotas are down 25% min...just give us our own days!!! I know I loved getting up at 7am on Thursdays to go stand at the line to watch 100 pairs of stockers...and I know I'm not alone in that statement.

I think it sucks. It's about what's convenient for them, not you.

In 2021 it was qualifying AND class on Wed with first round Thurs morning. Last year was slightly better and this year seems the same as last. Is Monday still needed? Is Wednesday still needed? I would think one of those days could get chopped.

If they chopped Wednesday, they would probably give us 1 qualifying run and then C1, not giving anyone much time to get ready for class. Plus, if they cut a day, it would really cut into our program if weather was a factor. Next thing you know its a 3 day race and they give Wallys out for the fastest qualifier on the sheet. Leave it the way it is, or it will be more than just one day cut out.

I think with the high number of cars you need all of these days, Wed-Mon.

Plus if one or two days you get rain that would definitely hurt the schedule.
