Rule Addition- breakage
If a racer breaks before our first qualifier he or she may ask for and recieve a refund. This must be done immediately at the event.See Joe or myself for the refund.
If a racer breaks his or her entry on the first qualifier they will not recieve a refund, period. The racer will be assigned a drawn number and put on the ladder and his or her opponent will recieve a single. Jeff Ross |

Re: Rule Addition- breakage
Glad you guys cleared this up for all of us, it's a tough thing to break no matter when it happens. At least now everyone is clear on this issue. Thanks Joe

Re: Rule Addition- breakage
I am all for this stock/super stock combo, but as you may or may not know I have not attended one yet this year, that is because I am broken. Ok, this makes no sense to me, who is going to show up broken. It seems to me you are going to break something during qualifying not driving up to the staging lanes. I realize it's your show, and you can make the rules the way you see fit, but I don't see how someone is going to break when they haven't made a pass down the track, unless it is some freak thing or they are running in brackets too. Just my chump change thought ...

Re: Rule Addition- breakage
Chuck,
I believe a couple made runs with the pro bracket class, but a couple others broke after the first qualifying pass and then wanted their money back. I think that is what happened at Mt. Vernon.

Re: Rule Addition- breakage
Chris,
I can understand that, what I don't understand is if you broke and can't make first round why should you be penalized by not getting your money back. A good friend of mine went to an IHRA event in Clay City, broke the motor on the first qualifying pass, they gave him his money back for his entry and his crew guy .. seems fair to me ..

Re: Rule Addition- breakage
I didn't know IHRA would do that after you already made a qualifying run. I do kind of see it your way Chuck after I re-read all the posts.

Re: Rule Addition- breakage
Chuck,
At Mt.Vernon Dave Turner found he had a transmission problem before he got on the track and Sean Dorman had a cut front tire that leaked air faster than he could put it in when he went to staging for the first qualifier. For this reason I thought a clarification was in order. Jeff Ross |

Re: Rule Addition- breakage
Yeah Chuck we noticed you hadn't made it to a race yet. Though I agree with your reasoning, the rules I think are best left up to the folks running the show. So try and come out and play at the next race if you can. Joe
