Default Allowable Torque Convertor Slip

I am trying to get a new combination together to run S/ST and am going to have to change Trans from a th350 to a glide so that I have the use of a good reliable trans brake? My question is what % of slippage is normal for an 8" conv. I figured mine up with my current combo and I am in the 12% range. I don't know if that's all that good. Any help is apperciated.

Default Re: Allowable Torque Convertor Slip

I figured my 8" ATI a while back and it was 5% 12 seems to be a little loose to me.
