Re: 74 in Lemons 24
The good news is infamous SST racer Boyd Moss scored a FREE RV with a low miles 1978 440 (the last year). The bad news is I had to work alone with the dually to get that puppy out. It started and ran no smoke with 150 compression. Gonna' be our spare bullet. Lemoneaux

Re: 74 in Lemons 24
I hear you on the pellet, but we know somebody that can hop it up. The one owner Hooptie Monaco is here, now named project "ORANGE WHIP" . Worlds dirtiest motor, never had a wrench on it, 81000 miles, but the thing actually runs darn good. I think that is the starter in the photo?? Looks like a mixture of oil, mouse poop, mouse hair, cat hair, dog hair, one human hair and just the right amount of Nebraska dirt. Everything is original and works except the "cigarette lighter". Go figure.... Some nice stuff to part out to my fellow Blues Brothers. Jakeaux
PS anyone needing a stock 400 Lean Burn, I got it.....Sucker pulls good, 3.55 rear Last edited by Spyphish; 05-12-2018 at 05:48 PM. |

Re: 74 in Lemons 24
It WAS untouched but now stripped and ready for cage. We took the lean burn off as it missed at constant speed. Broadcast sheet was in the door. After two attempts to clean motor, still pretty bad. May just pull it as a spare and put one of the pellets in.

Re: 74 in Lemons 24
Frito had a GREAT idea. We will run one of these cars in stock. What class would a 74 Dodge Monaco run in? I see the 275 440 beater but what about the E86 375 440. I cant find it in the guide. Jakeaux
OK the 375 was in 69 so this is a 250 HP I think. Little less intense than the Phish.... Last edited by Spyphish; 05-30-2018 at 11:15 AM. |

Re: 74 in Lemons 24
275/440 is factored at 345 horsepower, making the '74 Dodge Monaco 4-door sedan a 12.76 pound natural J/SA, that could add or subtract weight to run I or K. The current J/SA index is 12.45.
