What Should The NHRA Do About The Averages?
As there is very little data in the database, should the first adjustment be cancelled this year?
Also, since there are only two Class Eliminations left, should they both be HP exempt? |

It is not probable, but "possible " that every dragstrip closes in the United States for good and you are worried about the averages?

Re: What Should The NHRA Do About The Averages?
I would keep both adjustment periods and reschedule the first one so it’s as close to the middle of the season (half of the races completed) as possible.
I don’t think any of the races should be HP exempt. There are a lot of combos in the past that were under factored when they first appeared, those cars went fast, won class a lot and got HP. It cost them something to go to Indy and win class. Today many of those combo’s can barely qualify for Indy. The underfactored cars of today should have their time to shine and be at the top of the qualifying sheet but it should cost them something to do that just like it did in the past. If you can go -1.20 at Columbus in July or Indy then the combo probably needs hp. If you’re that much faster than everybody else you shouldn’t have to go -1.20 under.

However NHRA does it I will adapt. I ain't been nowhere. The combo I will run was raced one time and it was Mineshaft, so no data points. Thanks Mr. Paul.

I hope to be wrong, but I don't see NHRA having the funds to staff the employees that figure out the "averages".
So in answer to the original question,I think you will be able to go as fast as you want without any penalties from now on. |

I do plan to support the sanctioning bodies and race tracks that I love. I just want to know the terms that I will be racing under. Again, why are you wasting such precious moments with things that you find so trivial? |

If possible will you rent or buy Mr. Jim Boudreau race car and race it. You could make a lot of racers happy. Maybe not so much for Jason, Lance, or Brian.
