Default synthetic oils

what do y'all think about synthetic oil in the engine, transmission, and the rear end. does it help to make the car more consistent?

I don't know enough to tell you anything about the transmission and engine oils but I strongly feel that going to synthetic lube in my Dana 60 has eliminated the first run of the day being slower, even if the car had been warmed up on jack stands.

This makes me think it would be more consistent for the rest of the day as well.

This. I had the same result with first run in the morning and not getting regular oil warmed up enough. Now first run is consistent with other runs.

Get with your local Lucas dealer.. I use synthetic motor oil and gear oil, and my trans guy recommends the semi-synthetic in the trans.. and there is usually a Lucas dealer at ALL races...
