Default 68 ford cylinder head flow numbers

Will or can anyone enlighten me on some of their personal experiences with the flow numbers from a head that has not been welded on and what kind of performance they are getting?

Perhaps you could clarify which 1968 Ford you are asking about.
Which exact cylinder head casting, Stock or Super Stock?
Not that I expect anybody to post those details on a public forum.

1968 Cougar 302 4v C80 e-f. I found the stock numbers on the engine spec page. I am wanting to know what one could expect to get from them with only port work,no welding or epoxy? But maybe as you said no one will give any numbers out.

The late Kip Martin my best buddy, I miss that guy, his record holding SS/L 220 HP 289 made 467 STP HP @ 7400 RPM, heads flowed 217 CFM @ 28 inches, and he only flowed 1 port LOL. Try getting information like that from most of these super secret class racers. Ran 10.27 @ 127 1.30 60 foot.

Cool Re: 68 ford cylinder head flow numbers

HP, thanks for this. My car will be in GT/MA or NA The heads that are on the engine right now flow 202. It is legal but it was off the index alot. So I need to get a better setup. It will be my first S/S ride and I was hoping to get some more input before I make a decision on what to do. I am not looking to set a record,I just want to be able to compete nelow the index.

Now you know, happy to help. Lloyd Creek did his first heads, wet flow with 212 CFM if I remember correctly, set the first record with those, then reset the record with his own heads. Kips engine was very simple to some degree, the clutch....not so much. I'd be happy to tell you what I know about the engine.
