Mid plate Stick car
What are you guys using for a midplate on a stick shift car? I’ve got a front motor plate that bolts up no problem. Finding a company that makes a mid plate for a clutch equipped fox body mustang isn’t very easy. Thanks for the help in advance 😎

Try skinnykidracecars.com, they make quite a few configurations depending on your combo.

You could make your own. Use the bell for your bolt pattern and weld tabs to your chassis. Use card board to fit everything then, transfer to 1/4 aluminum plate, or 1/8 steel plate and you've got a mid plate. If youre not into making one any of the chassis companies offer mid plates.

Re: Mid plate Stick car
Problem is, all the chassis companies make mid plates for automatic equipped cars. With a clutch it has to be a solid midplate. Only a hole in the center for the crankshaft.

Re: Mid plate Stick car
I did not run a mid plate. I had steel tubing about 1/2 inch in diameter, with hiem joints on each end. one end went to the trans cross member and the other end on the clutch can. this was hooked up on the passenger side of the car. it's simple and rock solid. Luke

I built a tube cross member that bolts to the frame and the flange on the bellhousing. I'm happy I did because I had a flywheel come apart a few years ago, it broke the back of the block off, the crossmember held everything together until I got the car stopped.

Yes, several different ways you can do it. It also depends on where the eng and trans bolt together in relationship to the firewall.
