Default Yamaha Jog problems

well my Jog was supposedly refreshed by a scam artist Motorcycle shop. I ran when I got it home but.... I got it out and it will start quickly but will idle for a short time and stall. Hard to restart if it does at all. Wait hours and it repeats and stalls. Will not allow to open throttle without dying.
I changed Fuel Pump and same thing. Any ideas?

Have had the same kind of problem. Once mine will start and idle after a lot of kicking i let it warm up then it will rev up with out dying it is good for the rest of the day and starts easy every time. Mine is like ground hog day starts all over again. when mine wont idle i rip carb off and clean idle circuit out brake clean and compressed air. then back to ground hog day.

You make "rip the carb off" sound so easy. Mine appears buried in the frame. Do you pull the motor loose?

only run non ethanol fuel in your small engine equipment. I have 2 of the Chinese scooters and had nothing but problems similar to what you are experiencing. Started using non eth and no more problems. More and more gas stations are selling the non ethanol gasoline now.

Don't run anything but 93-octane in your scooter. Anything less (87/89) and it more than likely will not run or start worth a darn.....
