Congrats to Kyle Shipmon and Kevin Shipmon

Kyle Shipmon Grandson of Sonny Shipmon got his first win tonight at Roxboro Dragway, this was the track Sonny use to own back in the 80's and this past Wednesday was Sonny's Birthday I'm sure he is looking down and very proud. Kevin Shipmon, Sonny's son was so proud of Kyle as was I. It was one of those moments in racing we all dream about.

Thanks Herb, I think when you see your kid win it's 100 times better than winning yourself. I'm proud that he did the right way and drove like a pro although this was only about his 12th race. Thanks again I know Dad is smiling down on us. Thanks to Roy Hill for his advice earlier this year, it has really worked.

Kevin when my son won his first race 3 years ago I was hooked, then he won the very next day again. I don't care about driving but I love to watch them, today my son got RU but we were watching you every round, when you beat him then had to re run the final we were sick. I was glad to see it and enjoyed dumping the cooler on your son in the winners circle.

I say this means you owe me lunch at Dottie's one day this week.

Great job Kyle....Sonny told me once that you 'd be a driver. I guess Kevin is a full time crew chief now.

Congrats Kyle and Kevin . Kevin I told you in Roxboro last month it was coming. Now there will be many more to make you proud. Been there done that and still enjoying every time my son turns on a win lite. Now if he could just teach me how to do it again.lol
