Just a warning to anyone in D1 looking for name/number sets..

Recently ordered a set from Christina Dibartolomeo at The Design Joint.
Everything went great until the vinyl came in.....For some reason the lettering has a green tint over it and some have spots of white like a printer malfunction. They look terrible and not what I ordered. I reached out to Christina and was told ďnope, they are black and dark greyĒ the picture donít show the green like in person but the first thing my girl said when she saw them ďwhy did you get them camouflageĒ lol

After several un answered emails itís clear my $130 was more important than custom service or pride in her business. I even offered to pay something to have them re printed..

On a better note..

Interior just about finished.

Little wiring left on the racepak and itís ready to fire off.

Look closer at the rule book..... Roll BAR can NOT run past firewall.
Roll CAGE CAN run past firewall and over inner fenders connecting to frame horns.

I think itís been 5 years or so since they allowed aluminum replacement radiators and thatís exactly what I have.

Iím sure my build pisses off some of the old school stock racers but I set out on a mission to build this car to todayís rules. Race seats, aluminum radiator, aftermarket heads, roller rockers, over caged, ect.....

Donít hate the player, hate the game..lol
Unfortunately, a friend of mine destroyed his 80 Malibu in a top end crash, last week. It was an 8.50 Index car. His extra cage work saved his life. He was unharmed. Only his wallet was injured. Nice work.

Almost everything in this picture has a green reflection on it. Could that be what is also making the lettering look greenish?

Lettering doesn't look black to me either.

Itís definitely not right... she reached out to me a month ago after I posted something on her FB page. Apparently Iím a doushe for posting a honest review. I was told if I took it down she would re do them but Iíve yet to see anything. Not sure if my post here is holding it up but with the way this has gone down I refuse to remove it. Honestly at this point Iím over it. Iíll find someone local and move on. I have bigger problems!

So after adding the weight to make A the rear springs compressed enough that the rear driver 1/4 is touching the outside of the tire. Iíve got plenty of room on the passenger side. Iíve heard the driver side wheel opening is smaller than the passenger side. Not sure if that the case or the rear is not centered correctly. Either way Iím gonna have to change the rear half of the springs to raise the rear.

I really needed to step away from it for a while so
Iíve been focusing on getting my dragster back together.

It's unfortunate that the issues with the letters/numbers are not being resolved. 2 recommendations, Michael Beard and Glen's Sign DeZine both racers. Michael sent me several proofs to look at and accept for my car. I also had more made several years later for our golf cart and trailer. The font and style are not common, and they match the originals from 2007. Glen made decals in memory of our D-5 tech Wayne Lewis, very well done and great quality.

Good luck and very nice build, it's something to be very proud of.

Glenn does excellent work. He has done many sets for me. Can't go wrong with him. Dyno
