Default Why are the Schumacher cars so much quicker?

After 3 rounds of qualifying at Indy, the Schumacher team cars have the rest of the field covered by a tenth or more.
Could it be that there is a person or persons on the team with a lot of experience tuning gasoline or alcohol supercharged engines? Does anyone know who the crew chiefs are?

This was just a matter of time, Unlimited funds. What was the old saying "speed cost money, how fast do you want to go".

Money does help, but I also believe that Kevin is a big part of the effort.

I 100% agree that Kevin Helms deserves the lions share of the credit for how the Schumacher cars are performing. An extremely talented crew chief, but an equally talented driver. I hope they give him his own Challenger to drive next season.

I read an interesting article where noted engine builder, Tony Bischoff, talks about some of the advantages that the hemi has over the other makes competing in FS. See the link below. It's near the end of the article.

Welch and Geoff Turk are just as quick. Obviously a good combo.
