Default Live from the Gator Nationals

Let the fun begin, today is credential day and parking for those not already here. It should be a pretty laid back day for us the cars already converted to SG mode and the laundry's been done. This is our last scheduled race for the southern tour which is a little sad a lot of our friends we won't see for another year its been great seeing everyone this year. The plan for today is go cart racing, putt putt golf and of course good food later. The race schedule is 3 time runs Thursday, 1st round Friday, 2 rounds Saturday and the remaining 3 rounds Sunday. Wish us luck we'll need it.

GOOD LUCK, Robbie.. I've never been a fan of the NHRA's scheduling of Sportsman at National Events.. 3 qualifiers on Thursday, and 1st round on Friday??.. what would be wrong with 2 qualifiers on Thursday, 1 qualifier on Friday, and 1st round on Friday afternoon??.. maybe give some of the Sportsmen a weeeee bit better feeling on the money they spent to attend a National Event..

I'm sure that NHRA has some sort of dog and pony show on the schedule, and have to clear the Sportsmen classes by 50% ASAP... could be why I have only one National on my schedule... UGH!!!

Well go cart racing was a blast, There wasn't anyone else riding and we had unlimited ride tickets so they just let us go. Need less to say by the time we got done we had gotten our moneys worth and fun and were tired of riding go carts. Then a half a game of putt putt golf and we where done. A good time was had by all thanks again Rudy,Ruth, Ricky, Johnny and Teresa. The track is packed the weather is great so come on down to Gainesville. If you do stop on by and say hello we love putting faces to names. As you can see by the lack of photos we're still having issues we have them (using the phone) just having trouble down loading them.

Robbie kick butt at the race and bring home the bacon. This past weekend I attended the Doorslammer @ Orlando hoping to see yourself, Johnny Cobb and others. Their were so many events going on. I did see Vonnie win the TS event which was great. I wanted to stay for the Gators to support a few friends who cars are on display (Harry, Bill, and Randy).

Well what and interesting day today was. As you should know by now NHRA canceled the Pro portion of the Gator Nats and are going to run the sportsman category to completion tomorrow. So its going to be like a divisional race and no spectators allow. So its just like a divisional race. My time runs today ended up not to bad, the trees pretty tough but the car seems to be dialed pretty good we'll see tomorrow. I believe eliminations start at 10 same run schedule as today, I also heard the NHRA program will be aired and is free not sure about that though.

What to do between races? A little fishing with Ricky.

Some go cart racing I was celebrating spinning Rudy out.
