Re: "Live" from Charlotte 2019
Great watching all the back-to-back class racing last night. Thought their NHRATV cameras could have been placed a bit better. Would have liked to see both boards to see dials but hey, a camera looking back at the tree is awesome and seeing all that great action under the lights was really nice. And my thanks as well to Cooter, Larry and Patsy! Kudos to all the racers lending a hand to their fellow racers, we all share a common passion and it shows time and time again.

It sounds like it was one of those special nights at the track. I wish I was there. The Class Racing community is special and has been blessed by this forum, it brings everyone closer together. Thanks Ken Miele, you're the catalyst.

Re: "Live" from Charlotte 2019
I got my pictures all out of sequence, but I found a few more! We went to Jim and Pam Marshall's house today and had a wonderful lasanga meal. Thanks it was a great time!! It has rained all day and the pits have cleared out a bunch. I think all that is left is going to Rockingham.
So here are the rest of the pics: Jeff Longhany's ss Ricky Decker Duane Eiskant Jim Roberts cleaning up! |

Re: "Live" from Charlotte 2019
I got one more thing to add, congratulations to Johnathan Anderson on his Super Comp win! I talked with Johnathan for a good while on Saturday. As you might remember he posted up here a while back looking for a partnership to get in Super Stock. He has a SS legal Sunfire he currently runs in Super Street and is looking for someone to partner with that has a drivetrain. If someone out there fits this bill and wants to get back out here racing this guy will put y'all in the winners circle. We talk about getting new blood in Stock and SS well here's the chance for someone to help this guy get started!

Re: "Live" from Charlotte 2019
Yesterday was different pro eliminations on Monday. After the race it was all hands on deck to tear down and get ready for Texas. Some teams left Monday others started making the trip before 5:00 am today. The Capco T/F team had the best post race celebration. Capco's golf cart has a train whistle on it, which is louder than the speaker on the Blues Brothers Dodge, and blew it several times and often. All in fun.
After such an exhausting day we were lulled to sleep by the soothing sounds of three lap testing at the dirt track, that went on for hours. It was music to my ears and for others not so much. Today is get ready for the Rock which is the FWD routine, Fuel, Water, and Dump. ZMax has very good dump stations and city water, unlike St Louis. I should be able to loose some weight this weekend with a diet change. Not racing this year has forced me into a situation where I need grade points. So....... us returning to Rockingham will be a case of me having to eat my words of "I will never go back to that ice rink". I find eating my word always has a bitter taste and are quite filling. Maybe I won't run out of adjustments on the car this time. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for good luck. |

Good luck at the Rock Larry and everybody going. Got to Jimmy’s yesterday and found that it was the transmission. On to Texas to retrieve my spare from the guy I loaned it to and then to Vegas. Mike McMahan 2543 H/SA
