ISO trailer wheels and tires
Have a Vintage trailer. 6 lug wheels and 15" tires. 15" tires are getting hard to find and it seems the trailers tires don't last anytime. Thinking about going to a 16" wheel and tire so I can use the Firestone Transforce truck tires. Anybody know bolt pattern on the 6 lug Vintage trailers? Are all 6 lugs the same?

Re: ISO trailer wheels and tires
Generally 6 lug rims have a 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern---if you measure from center to center of a bolt hole to the opposite hole you will get a measurement ---it should be 5 1/2 inches---next consider the dimensions of the wheel well you want to put the tire into---some trailer do not have an abundance of room in the wheel well---check both the circumference and the cross section dimensions carefully---Firestone Transforce tires are good tires make sure you get at least an E load range tire---FED 387

Re: ISO trailer wheels and tires
If you decide against the 16" wheels I have had good luck with the Goodyear Endurance tires in the E load range. Got them from Discount Tire, this link may or may not work.

Re: ISO trailer wheels and tires
The 16 inch tires are Taller.
Many trailers do not have enough room under the fenders to accommodate them unless they were initially built for 16 inch wheels.
