Re: Musical Tastes
Often overlooked in the discussion about Country /Rock pioneers and innovators ,
Michael Nesmith was serious about this phase of his career. (As was Rick Nelson and his Stone Canyon Band) I see this as , without Different Drum, we might not have had Linda Ronstadt, and without Linda Ronstadt, we probably wouldn't have had the Eagles. Nez's First National Band featured Mr. Orville "Red' Rhodes on pedal steel ,which gave them their distinctive sound. Red was a member of the legendary Wrecking Crew. Stick around for the outro here:

Re: Musical Tastes
Next Thursday Sue and I have 2nd row seats at a sold out Kansas Concert in a small Theater. Place only seats 1400 so acoustics are awesome. Love going to the Midland Theater (Newark Ohio). The band had 3 original members before Covid, but lost their violin player since. I played the heck out of Left Overture, so today I'll pick a couple from it. ....

Re: Musical Tastes
I was trying to "teach" my Pandora Doo-Wop station today, and they threw me a few Four Seasons songs, which I gave the thumbs down to.
The only one I can think of that would be borderline is this one... .Marlena was the B side of Candy Girl but It rose to number 36 nationally anyway. How about those out there who view this stuff, but never post or "like" .Any Doo Wop aficionados in the audience? Yes or no? DooWop?
