Re: "Live" from the PC Richards Dutch Classic
Hi kids- Well here's the skinny -got in early evening yesterday and managed to get in the cleanups - track was OK but it just doesn't feel like the Classic - hot and muggy for sure .Many of you feel that the race should be back in October and I fully agree .
Here's an eye opener - walked in to the teardown barn and guess what I saw - dust and two officials with nothing to do .Not a single car or racer .I realize you can't bring back the old days but the powers that be can you fix this - many of us would like some of the tradition of the " Pennsylvania Dutch Classic " to be brought back . On another note - racing is racing - some of us felt like 1st graders today when everyone who was alone in their class got a trophy just for showing up and going down the track .At least Combo racing was better than nothing - they should bring it back . Enough of my rant for today - got a bunch of photos from today to be posted later ....

We miss you too, Jeff!
Very hot and humid today. Most slowed 2-3 hun from yesterday. There were some surprises in the class runoffs and several incidents of faster cars redlighting. Oh yeah, the Shady Maple was awesome - as usual.

I don't know who '1593' with the wagon is, that's got to be my favorite picture of all time, so much cool there, I'm cold now!

Re: "Live" from the PC Richards Dutch Classic
Bernie,
Don't know if you are looking at the white 57 or the yellow Nomad. Both have long drag racing careers. The 57 as Dave said is the former Barsky and McMath SS'r , uses the dual quad 283 combo and is now owned and run by Bob Bagley. The Nomad has been a modified car since the 70's , usually ran G/mp weekly at Lebanon Valley. Vic Javinette bought it and restored it to the way it was and runs it in D1 regularly. Both cars peg the cool meter
