Default Celebration of Life for Georgeo Thomson

There will be a Celebration of Life for my close
friend George Thomson next Sat. @ 2PM in Acton California.

He raced a Black 73 Mustang the held the National Record and
a series of several Oldsmobile 442s for many decades. His Yellow 72 442
was always at the top of the National races out here in the West!

He owned Carburetor Flow Engineering which did work for many
of us Stock/SS Racers.

Please E Mail me:
Racer7411@yahoo.com

I will provide you the details and we can get a head count
on who can attend. All the people who knew George are welcome.

If you want Barbara can provide a Video for whoever can not attend
and would desire to see one.

George was always a nice guy and capable of being the number 1 qualifier pretty much any time he wanted. Rest in peace George

I never had the pleasure of meeting George but he was definitely someone I looked up to. I remember seeing a story on his black record-holding '70 4-4-2 D/SA in Pop Hot Rod in '79 when I was a young man and it inspired me to build and race the '70 4-4-2 I race today.

I am a bit surprised that only one request for info about
George's Memorial.

He went out of his way to help me and so many other So Cal
Stock and Superstock Racers and had a shop down in So Cal
forever with a ton of customers going in and out!

Back in the 90's = I would have give up on Stock without him
coming to my rescue quite a few times. We live in Nevada
now, but Jon and I will be making the 600 Mile trip back and forth
to thank him again one last time be we stage up in Heaven. There
were times when his family and mine were about the only ones at
the RFC services.
