Lightbulb Re: Gen 6 BBC Oil pan?? UPDATE

I purchased the Jegs pan and it is very nice for the $$$. Not stock appearing but full of great features. I left the mounts off and engine went straight back and down, Frame clearance is ok however the steering linkgage touched so I clocked the idler arm and that fixed that. The steering will just touch on full turn lock. Hope this helps other down the road.

Just an update. The jegs race type pan is not the best for this application. I have tried eurothane mounts, shimming the mounts and loosening steering(idler arm) and moving it slightly. The steering (inner tie rod) hits the pan on tight maneuvers. This is not a race car and Dad is not a fan. Some have said use solid mounts and shim them.Dad says he doesn't want it to shake like an old wagon. So back to searching for GM oil pan # 12495360. This is the only stock pan i can find for this application. Thanks to everyone for the input.
