CRANE Hi-6DSR box Anyone ever use one ?
I have a new setup from Crane ( distributor, box and coil ). It's all brand new, although manufactured in 2012. Anyone ever use this box ? Opinions ?

I can't speak from experience, but here are some links to other forums discussing Crane ignitions. I ran MSD boxes for years and they seemed not as reliable as I had expected. I replaced my AL7 series with a Pertronix Digital 500 for less cost. Three rev limiters, adjustable multispark, and about 9 features based on rotary dials

DO you feel much difference in performance with an MSD Box?

I have used the old HI-6 gold box since the mid 90's, with separate crane 2 step box, no complaints still in the car today.

Waaay back(1992?)we put one of the Crane ignition boxes in a Spitzer bracket dragster, with an iron Indy Head 440 Mopar making 650 HP. Never an ounce of trouble with it. Finally replaced it with MSD 7 series(lots of years later) mostly because, separating some of the functions was advantageous.
