Re: 4th Gen F Body V6
Gen 4 F-body went from 1993 to 2002 . The 2000 F-body has one version of the 3.8L , it's rated at 200 hp . In the classification tech sheets there are two 3.8L engines listed for the 2001/2002 F-body . Looks like the only difference is the compression ratio. The higher compression engine is rated at 200 hp . The 3.8L in the FWD Monte Carlo is rated at 200 hp.

Re: 4th Gen F Body V6
I am still considering swapping my LT1 for the 3800 (3.8L) engine in my 95 Camaro. I cannot find anywhere whether the LT1 and RWD 3800 has the same trans mounting configuration. Also will the 3800 work with the K member that I have? Thanks.

I believe the cradle will work with the long V6 engine mounts. The 185 hp version looks better to me on paper, if you're not in a hurry..No pistons approved.

K member would work but would require custom motor mounts. V6 cradle is different than LT1 and LS1 is also different.

Re: 4th Gen F Body V6
Thanks for all the help everyone. I guess the first step after deciding to do it is finding an engine.

Re: 4th Gen F Body LT1 to V6 Swap
Thanks. I'll let you know if I need one and can't find one locally.
