Default Diaper rule

I cant find NHRA listing a revision stating that my 10 second full bodied Pro category car will require a diaper or belly pan beginning 1-1-2012 although the local track tells me that will be in effect...anyone CERTAIN?

There's not much room in there and this could take some engineering before the hangover race.

Lightbulb Re: Diaper rule

I'm sure you have probably heard this before, but local track rules override sanctioning body rules, every time. Find out what the particular track wants for the particular event. The sanctioning body rulebooks are at least good for leveling uneven table legs, as long as you get a hard copy. Take care. Tom Worthington.

Bill, I think you will find that D.R.E. can make you one that fits properly and will come off and on the engine with ease. We pulled the heads on my sons car yesterday and wanted to remove the diaper because of the water and antifreeze mix that would run down the block. Four bolts and it slid right off. Tom. D.

even tho your car doesn't run in the 9s , you could benefit from the retention devise , may keep fluid from getting to the rear tires,
I going to have to make something for mine , a 73 duster with motor pulled back home brewed rack n pinion setup, something D R E most likely wont have made up ?

I will for sure, mine is a bb 383-400, block, using a pick up truck oil pan / rear sump,, have no k member , but still retained the torsion bars.
stock frame rails, motor pulled back 8.5 ",,plates from the orig motor mts, to the frame rails, headers are home brewed , exit over frame, out the wheel opening ., this is all new car never seen track yet but will be out spring, and it will have diaper !
thank you , I will be calling to see what you have that will work

DRE made a custom diaper for my dry sump paned AMX. Great fit and is sure is cheap insurance if something goes wrong and oil/water get under the tires.
