Enjoy your posts. Just curious about your clutch linkage, are you using the O.E. linkage? Have you changed the pedal ratio?

Thank you.

Yes Greg stock type Z-bar extended with multiple holes for ratio change options, and stock fork. I can get you pictures if you need to see it. Certainly not perfection and could be improved upon but effective none the less.

Thanks for the reply. I have about a 4:1 pedal ratio and the pedal is quite stiff. The pedal feel is about the same with either a SoftLok or diaphragm style clutch. I have a new Z-bar on order that I plan to modify to increase the ratio.

Greg, We have multiple attachment points on the pedal as well as the z-bar on both ends to change for throw and leverage. I put the whole mounted clutch/flywheel unit in a press with a magnetic base dial indicator and measure how much movement at the TB/levers it takes to unlock the disc and how much to get any given disc air gap. Then you know exactly what the linkage needs to do and how the pedal stop should be adjusted. Shorten the pedal throw to quicken reaction and lengthen the throw to slow reaction.

I ordered the wrong filter adapter, so if you're hunting for one, don't do this. I bought the 23691 Moroso and it's for an oil cooler only. I need the 23690 so it will run filtered oil through the accumulator. If you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough! Here's the wrong one.

Got a few thing done today... distributor goes in like butter now no more tearing o-rings, carb and fuel lines, got some new plugs in and some other little stuff. Also since we are going to pull the plugs a lot for after run oil and a couple (plugs) are a bear I ordered these nifty little plug sockets for the tight ones.

Thumbs up Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

All things about this thread are positive!! It's a good build. Todd has been very open about what he is doing and how he is doing it. He has answered questions when asked about various aspects of the proceedings. The photo documentation is great.

And probably the most positive thing, he and Autumn are doing it as a family!! I, for one, will follow their progress and racing adventures through the year. Best of luck, and keep up the good work!

Todd - those plug sockets look handy! Who's the manufacturer?
