Re: Plymouth Superbird
I built the 426 Hemi in the B/MP race car back in the early
70's for a Superbird called the Patriot out of So California. I had an engine building shop in those days out of Whittier California. It was driven by Frank Mills who was the Dodge Sheriff in many of the 60's Dodge TV commercials = "You in a Heap of Trouble Boy". He owned a used car dealership om La Habra California. Seems a lot of racers were car dealers back then. We had it in our pits at the Winternationals three years ago. It is now restored to original as delivered condition. If our sponsor Glendora Dodge wants to = I will see if it can be displayed in the Mopar Exhibit in Pomona next year.

Re: Plymouth Superbird
Those cars are some of the coolest race cars that Chrysler ever "encouraged".
Karl Gould, Jack Wurst and of course the very mysterious Sox & Martin car. |
