Default pics, 67 dodge is done

just thought i would throw up a couple of pics, although not the fast thrill ride of the porsche, this is my 67 dodge coronet. it is a street car, i can drive it to the track, run 12's and drive home. it was going to be a stocker, but i can't afford to run one car let alone two....

I painted the car with sunset pearl, yellow w/ pearl silver and black. all the mouldings were faded or pitted so i painted them silver, also made the bumpers out of fiberglass.

.

engine is a mild 340, i did not want to cut a hole in the hood so i made this air ind. setup, added 1 fogger nozzle, car still drives good and i enjoy cruzi'n around with it.

Thats a beautiful car. I have a 66 Plymouth B body, so I'm partial to the 66-67 B bodies. Nice work!

thanks Sean,
My dad bought it brand new, traded a 65 plymouth fury III conv. and $1,150.00 cash for a total of $3,209.25
My mom talked him out of the R/T version, (he also wanted a hemi) the car was for me, i was born 2 months later and she wanted him to act more like a family man! WTF was she thinking!

Thats a great story to go along with your car. I traded my low mile SRT-4 in on a Durango because it just sat except to go to the track, and the family wasn't comfortable in it.

There was a silver 67 R/T in my neighborhood when I had my car in 90-91 during my high school days. The guy wanted $3500 for it, I thought he was crazy. The car needed only some touch up to be a really nice driver. Oh to have a preview of the future!
