Re: COVID Vaccine poll?
My wife was persistent (no surprise there LOL) and finally got through to the health department (reservations by phone only) on Monday and got us reservations on February 4th. Will miss the first day of the Orlando Divisional but consider getting the vaccine a priority. Canadian racers won’t get to come south and many states will continue to limit track events until we get the pandemic under control. Whether we believe in those limitations or not that’s the reality.

Re: COVID Vaccine poll?
I have an appointment this Saturday, Jan.23, at my local VA hospital to get my first dose.
At 73 years old with asthma; I feel a definite sense of relief.

Re: COVID Vaccine poll?
I received my first dose as scheduled on Sat. Jan.23 at 11:40 AM. I was held at the VA for 15 minutes of observation and I was on my way home at 11:55 AM. I received the Pfizer vaccine, so the second dose is scheduled for Sat. Feb.13 at 11:45 AM which is exactly 3 weeks after receiving the first dose. I am hopeful that we can return to some semblance of normalcy by mid year.

Re: COVID Vaccine poll?
I am thankful we aren’t shining a light up our arses and drinking a disinfectant cocktail. Before Pfizer’s vaccine was proved highly successful in clinical trials, the company offered the Trump administration the chance to lock in supplies beyond the 100 million doses the pharmaceutical maker agreed to sell the government as part of a $1.95 billion deal over the summer. But the administration, never made the deal, a choice that now raises questions about whether the United States allowed other countries to take its place in line. Loma Linda VAMC got 600 units to provide with tens of thousands Veterans in Riverside county. My disability and age got me in the door, not some political hack.
