Cragar S/S balance?
I have been told and believe that is hard to spin balance the S/S rims because the area under the cap is not true to the mounting surface. so I have always bubble balanced mine, with a good outcome.
However, there is no one, in this town, with a bubble balancer any more. dont want to have a bummpy ride. thoughts/ideas thanks Rod in AZ |

Re: Cragar S/S balance?
Depends on how they jig it up.
Don't use a cone in the back...just a flat cup that rides on the machined drum surface. Then use a small cone in the center hole. Don't over tighten. Should run true and balance right up.

Re: Cragar S/S balance?
I bought a bubble balancer at harbor freight. About $60. Used it many times with success.

Ask around if anyone has the adapter to use the lugs to mount the wheel to the balancer. Like others I bought a bubble balancer from HF.
