Stock lifters
Anyone think this will be the year when the ole flat tappet cars will get a early Christmas and roller lifters?

Re: Stock lifters
Do they still have to use a checking lifter to check lift if the engine has solid lifters?
I always thought this was why the rule was enacted. |

Re: Stock lifters
If you're using a SOLID lifter then the Techs should use the lifter that's in the engine. I've been bit by lifter height before when going through a teardown in the days before the Techs had an adjustable lifter.

Re: Stock lifters
I don't race in Stock but I do race a super stock car. I don't see why they don't allow the roller lifters in all stock engines. Many of the newer cars come from the factory with roller lifters. Might even things out a bit and help some of the old iron keep up with the newer stuff. Stock is pretty much like the old time super stock now.

Re: Stock lifters
Billy, it will take a whole lot more than roller lifters to help that junk you race. Just sayin'.
