Cecil County - Mid Atlantic Series Race # 2 & 3

We know Ma Nature has been a real PITA to kick off the 2025 season with losing 1 race already on the 8-race schedule, here's hoping she gets it all out of her system before the season really ramps up next weekend.

Those of you heading to Maple Grove and haven't had a chance to get out and test here is the perfect chance to do so!

Here is all you need to know:

Entry: $50 at gate plus crew and $100 to series
Points Series: $85 counting best 6 out of 7 races (1 race is already rained out)

Just a friendly reminder for the Friday Street / Test Night at Cecil, GATES OPEN at 5pm, I know some of you are retired and want to be at the track at noon but Cecil has a small stacking area and with the size of rigs anymore your lucky to get maybe 2 rigs into the area to park, so if you're coming from a distance please find a Flying J, Walmart, Travel Plaza to hang out till 4:30 when they open the gates then make your way over. IF THE GATES open earlier we will notify you via WhatsApp or on FB, you have to remember most of the staff at Cecil all work FT Jobs, so the track is something they do when not working their main job (I can relate working multiple jobs), so getting a text from Chad at 1pm telling me rigs are lined up on the road and the police have been called by the neighbors (always a joyful neighbor in the area) are not on my list of things to do to start out the weekend, please don't get it wrong we value you all coming and hanging out with us on the weekend we just need to make sure we are keeping the surrounding neighbors happy and not blocking driveways, roadways, etc.

Track operated T&T from 6-10pm for $30 (Open to all - Chad normally has lanes for Pro Tree, Bracket Tree for you, so listen to the PA)
Gates close at 10pm!

Gates open at 8am
TT 1 starts at 9am with Juniors (rotation to be released shortly), going to shoot for 2 TT but can't promise anything.

FREE BBQ following event completion (Meatballs and Sausage), sides and desserts are always welcomed, Practice Tree Race to follow ($10, Top, Bottom and Pro Tree).

FREE Racers Breakfast at 7:30am till 8:15

Gates open at 8am
Time runs starting at 9am followed by eliminations (1 TT and go).
Classes that weekend:

1/8 mile classes

Juniors (3 age groups, go down to one at 8 cars or less, Winners of each age group (winner forfeits) gets cash and medal.

Top Sportsman: 3.70 to 5.45 et break - 32 car field

Top Dragster: 3.65 to 5.09 et break - 32 car field

Gamblers Race: Separate tech card, run by Cecil County Dragway (see flyer below)

1/4 mile classes

Super Street: 10.90 index heads up, .500 Pro Tree

Super Gas: 9.90 index heads up, .400 Pro Tree

Super Comp: 8.90 index heads up, .400 pro tree

Stock / SS Combo: Must be legit NHRA Stock or Super Stock cars

The Weather is looking better and better for this weekend for 2 action packed days of action at Cecil County, this will be a great warm up for those who need to get some test time in before Maple Grove or are just looking for some racing!

Gates OPEN AT 5PM, please keep an eye on the Cecil County Website, Facebook or if you are signed up to Whatsapp for any delays due to weather that could be passing through the area in Mid-Morning! We will try to keep you updated the best we can but I will also be working and on the road myself.

The area did take on a good amount of rain this past week, so be mindful when pulling into your Pit Spot, put boards under your tires or park on Asphalt...yes you don't have to slum it in the grass and can have a nice, paved area, just be mindful of your neighbors!
