SS carpet
At this time my lamplighter was no carpet. How much carpet [what areas] need carpet to be SS legal?

All the visible floor area is my understanding.
You do not need pad or backing to save weight.

2022 Page 170 in the PDF(12A page 9). The short answer is cover everything. No bare paneling. You can replace the rear seat with sheetmetal that runs up to the package tray and cover that, but if you can see the tubs from the cabin they need to be covered.

The whole floor and rear must be covered.
I use aviation carpeting; it is lightweight and flammability tested. |
