Default Launch RPM for Max 60ft Consistency in Door Car

I have a 2300lb (2500 with me in it) 4 link tube chassis door car with roughly 860hp and am looking for advice on what to launch the car at (RPM) for the most consistent 60ft times and overall ET. I'm not concerned with the car running as quick as possible, just as consistent as possible. Do I lower the RPM until I can get the car to dead hook or is some spin more reliable and better on the car? How low is too low? Thanks for any recommendations!

You don't want the car to spin because that is a factor that can easily vary. I'm guessing you have a BB which means lots of torque. You never want to go too low on the leave chip because you could be below the rpm that the cam begins to smooth out and make power. I would try a 4000 chip. Also take 10 degrees timing out at the launch if possible.

Thanks Hacksaw, greatly appreciated! The engine is actually a small block Ford (427) with peak torque of 644 ft lb at 6200 RPM. Would this information change any advice you've shared? Thanks again!

Think you should be in the ball park with previous info. Good Luck and provide some results as you gain data.
