Default East Coast Stock Super Stock meet Atco

Wow Atco is a nice track.
Raced the day before at Island Dragway competing with the ECIRS Impala racers. Lost first round each heat. First race spun off the line. Second race cut a horrible light. So packed up and headed to Atco. Wow what a crazy ride. Google Maps is a pita. Finally got there. Dropped the car and trailer at the track. Found a nice parking place. Got help from a few that were up locking up for the night. Getting nice compliments about the wagon and car.

Left the track to locate a motel. Found a flea bag motel but was clean enough for a nice shower. It smelled like a smoke den. Work up and got to the track at 9am. They began time trials at 10am. Found Deve Ley who gave the car a once over. Did not like my Mini velocity stack so reinstalled the air filter.

Walked all over the track getting coffee, looking at all the cars. Got several visitors looking at my car. Great conversations. Just about all had Caprices and Impalas. Needed fuel and bought 5 gallons of VP ms100 unleaded. The second reason losing the second race at Island was a low fuel level and sputtered.

Q1 Red Lit a just bit, launched well and ran a solid 12.85 103. Just what I expected being warm from driving around the pits to get a better idea where everything was.

Before Q2 cooled the engine down a bit and more in the staging lanes.
Ran 12.81 103 again. Barely red lit. So felt good on the lights.

Before first round cooled the car down to 97 degrees. Kepted it cool and dialed in at 12.85. Since the DA went up a good bit. Round one cut a .020 Light ran a 12.74 on the brakes...wow where did that come from.

Ok the car was very cool on that run...hence the 10th better ET. If I had run it through it would have hit a 12.71. What is exciting is that my best run at Cecil Dragway was 12.68 on Cold Air Day.

Which means the is car running closer to the 12.65 K/SA index without changing the Stocker cam and springs. Have a few more changes that may get the Pure Stocker to run close enough to the index in the heat.

Need to find 2 more tenths! Dyno Tune, more converter and gears look possible. Considering REM treatment and Blue treatment of gears and bearings. Got to figure out how to lighten the car. Can get to 125lb over minimum weight with less gas. Minimum for K/SA is 4005 lb, 3940lb for F/PS.

As for me physically...hoping to be 20 lb lighter myself by next year.
