Got to go to the steel store today. I have to make fixtures for block strong enough to keep it level while I install torque plates.

Got it built. My 5.7 holds 43 oz. of water per side any more than that it runs out of the water pump passage. Still a lot to do before race day.

A word of thanks to everyone that has helped, advised, did my thinking for me, text, called, posted, and joked. You know "How many Hillbilly's does it take to ..............". Thanks for helping me along and being a part of the team.

I really enjoy the tear down part of the engine it give me a new list of how and why this or that happened. Got to go Dumbo is calling

Since I'm the engine builder I will have to take the blame. A air leak, @ 45 psi, was found at block to front cover. Water flows both directions to and from water pump through front cover. Will check block and cover for flatness, O ring grove for depth and finish, and O ring type gasket for cuts. Reassemble and re check.

Checking tool was a blocked off water pump, 0-60 psi tire gauge, Schrader valve. Gauge was piped in.

Good job finding that leak! Better than a crack somewhere.
