Farmington Race #3 & #4 results

Saturday: We had 44 cars make 1st round call. We even had 4 cars roll in from Atlanta Dragway after losing 1st or 2nd round of the last Southern Nationals ever. The Warren Engines sponsored Dash for Cash was won by Jeremy Davis. He ran a 6.1610 on his 6.16 dial to collect another crisp $100 bill. 1st Round Best Losing Package sponsored by Victory Lane Golf Carts went to Mr. Doug Hobgood. He had a .0086 RT, ran a 5.8625 on his 5.87 dial. 2nd Round Best Losing Package sponsored by Ford's Fuel and Propane/Renegade Race Fuels went to Steve Lucas. Steve had a .0281 RT, ran a 6.9928 on his 6.98 dial. Lee Truell was the lone semi-finalist. Chad McCreary came out on top of Saturday's action in his stick shifted Camaro where he overcame hard charger Tim Stickles in his Malibu Wagon. It was a double breakout finals. Chad was .0432 on the tree, ran ad 6.4122 on his 6.43 dial where Tim had the better reaction time of .0280 but ran a 7.3941 on his 7.42 dial. Duane Page received The Paul Bunyan "Best Reaction Time" Award sponsored by Auto Plus Service Center for his .0000 RT in Round 1 action. Homer Carty received the Hard Luck Award sponsored by The McLawhorn Racing team. Homer tested on Friday night & suffered a torque converter failure so racers were helping change his converter at 11:30 p.m. on Friday night so he could make Saturday's race.

Sunday: We had 41 entries in the beginning but after 3 racers suffered misfortunes, there were 38 that made 1st round call. Dell Britt won the Warren Engines Dash for Cash. He ran a 6.9825 on his 6.98 dial. Keith Alexander got the 1st Round Best Losing Package & $50 from Victory Lane Golf Carts. Keith had the better RT with his .0193 but still broke out on his 6.65 dial in as he ran a 6.6453. Ford's Fuel and Propane/Renegade Race Fuels 2nd Round Best Losing Package went to Phil Hilling. He had a .0412 RT, ran a 6.2104 on his 6.23 dial. Phil's son, Andrew was happy with his dad winning this fuel as he got it & said he hasn't bought fuel in a few years. Ronnie Courtney was the lone semi-finalist on Sunday's race. Raymond Roland received his 1st Eagle trophy by defeating Doug Hobgood in the finals. Raymond was .0944 on the tree, ran a 7.1327 on his 7.09 dial when Doug went .0185 red. Ronnie Courtney also received $50/The Paul Bunyan "Best Reaction Time" sponsored by Auto Plus Service Center for his .0011 RT in Round 3 action. Brian Oakes was chosen for the Hard Luck Award sponsored by The McLawhorn Racing team for his broken ring & pinion gear during Dash for Cash.

We've got a couple months off before our next race in July at Mooresville Dragway so everyone has time to get their race cars in top notch condition. Saturday was a record of 44 cars & we hope that we are able to break that record at Mooresville. All of this success wouldn't be possible without the support from our racers & sponsors in the 2021 season. Thank You to ALL of you!!!
