Default sbc lifter bores

hi....can u safely machine sbc factory lifter bores to fit a .904'' lifter? SS application. tks

Yes, you can. Just make sure the cam profile is designed for the roller wheel diameter.

You don't necessarily have to use bushings, although I certainly like doing so. Gives you far greater control over how much oil goes up top.
But you can just bore and then hone the block for .904" lifters without bushings.
