Default 307 Olds L/SA converter

What converter manufacturer makes the best converter for a Metric 200 behind a small cube engine, 307 Olds.
I have a Turbo Action, won't stall up on the line above 2600. I have a PTC, won't stall on the line above 2500. Need to put it on the 2-step at 3000-3200.

Any help is appreciated.

I run an ATI 8 inch in my 318 N/sa and O/sa wagon
It will sit comfortably @ 3800 on two step when required.

Cool Re: 307 Olds L/SA converter

So John Irving is suggesting that if your converter won't convert, convert to a different converter...

Ron how did you communicate your engine horsepower to TA and PTC? Did you send them a dyno sheet? If you didn't then these companies think you are making more torque than you are. In my experience converter companies are pretty good and meeting your requirements on the first try. After you have real data from using the converter in the car they are really good at meeting your requirements on the second try. I would ask either of these companies to tune one of the converters you already have. Ray

Hi Ron deal with Charlie Plott at ATI. I have 2 convertors from them original one and one they built in march 22. 1.48 60’ft behind the 307 you can hold it at 3300 on the starting line. Cplott@atiracing.com
