Default Looking for '69 AMX SS car from Georgia

The car i'm looking for was bought new by Les Kinney from Albany, Ga. The car was originally a 390 car but he bought the drivetrain out of George Warren's #6 Hurst factory SS car when George converted his car to Modified Production. Les Sold the car to Sherman Adcock,Sr around '74 or so. Sherman only ran the car locally a couple of times and sold it. The buyer bought it at the Warner Robbins race track in that same time period. Sherman has passed away but if i remember the buyer was from East Georgia or possibly South Carolina. George Warren's car has been restored by Buddy Belzer from Rapid City, SD and he is offering a finders fee if the car can be located. Jimmy Parker 706-fiveseven7-4twosixtwo Picture attached as it looked at time of purchase. Sorry thought pic was attached, please contact for pics. thanks

SUPPOSEDLY ----The drivetrain from Warrens car was pulled when a tried to convert the car from a 69 to a 70 NHRA would not let him do that so he put the 427 Chevy in it and converted it to a A/MP---and "Kenney & Moore" from Georgia bought the drive train and installed it in their "big bad blue" AMX-------your request is kinda confusing---- what are you looking for the Kenney & Moore car or the original drivetrain from Warrens car??? In an ideal situation the Kenney car could be found intact with the Warren drive train and other significant items. Sorry if i confused you.

George never completely converted the car to a '70, just installed the hood but got busted for it the first time he went thru tech with it. I was there at Suffolk and was to drive that weekend but the race rained out. When i was in the tech line one of the officials saw the hood way back down the line and made a trip back there to call out the hood with instructions to not bring it back as the '70 parts had not been approved.

Do you have any info on the Les Kinney AMX?

Actually Warren converted the whole car to 1970-here is the #6 car from my website dedicated to the cars. You can see the 1970 taillights still on the car years later-the whole rear panel had to be changed for this. Though there is no stampings on the engine to verify if it came with a specific AMX or not, I have to wonder just how many of these factory race cars would still have an original engine.
