AHFS Results
I know from last winter that NHRA will release all the HP adjustments at one time, but I was wondering, are there any resources I can see that actively track my combo's AHFS average? I believe Drag Insights has a tool for calculating your own average and may also track all runs for a particular combo, but I don't have a subscription and cannot investigate further.
Only reason I'm asking is I am on the slow end of N/SA and failed to make a run this year that was fast enough to count towards the average. I also know that there was a guy (D3 maybe?) that was absolutely mowing the index down earlier this year that had a similar combo to me but sedan instead of wagon. I'd be interested to see what the average is after a full year of racing and if I may be effected next year. If so, I may have to re-evaluate my Stock eliminator program.

Re: AHFS Results
The NHRA rep Pat C is the keeper of the AHFS database. Ask him specifically about what you want and he will look it up and respond to you.

Re: AHFS Results
Dawson, as the gentleman above will attest to, NHRA will publish the
AHFS results on the same day they will leave for Christmas break. That will reduce the complaining and moaning and groaning that we will give them. ( Myself Included) When they return 2 weeks later, we have figured it out amongst ourselves, and their phone calls are reduced from 500 down to 10-15. I know the whole thing causes me to drink and party excessively over the Holidays. J.R. |

Re: AHFS Results
Dawson, last I knew which was last week, we were safe, thanks to me and Justin Graham on the west coast.
That being said, this is 2 years in a row I?ve had to clean up after Bob Vogel in D-4, a D-1 transplant that just can?t seem to help himself. Last year I called him out about this and was told he has ?detuned? his car to .90 under and I should stop holding a grudge. Well Bob, guess you really don?t know how to ?de-tune? your car or just don?t care about us younger guys that love these cars and will not be selling in the next couple years and retiring like yourself. So I guess it?s fair to say yes I?m still holding a grudge and you?re still an arrogant asshole. Have fun! Tim Stickles

Well I appreciate you attempting to clean-up/save the combination, I am sorry I could not help you with that. Billy Wilson out of D2 and I have discussed plopping a set of heads he has that would really help get my combo to the next level, so maybe I can help out next year. Might even be able to compete in class at Gainesville, but that's probably a little ambitious. My cylinder heads are bone stock, as cast heads, while his are... better, much better. So we'll see. Even after a year of running stock I'm still blown away by the generosity and well meaning attitude of all racers (minus the one you're not so fond of). Even if it means driving from New England to Vegas just to protect a combination for yourself and others who try to run it.

Sorry, I am passionate about this sport, I love the car/combo I have, me and my father built this car from the ground up together and it?s just hard to think that eventually it could be useless if it gets over factored. But whatever I guess it?s what it is. Anyway let me know if you need anything, I think I have a set of heads I would be willing to sell also that are a good set of heads. Came out of my wagon as a matter of fact. If I can help in any other way you know the number buddy! Tim

He just dialed around a second under again last weekend. It is a unusual and not common combo and only us and him run it regularly! It has cost us plenty to travel to another Division to clean up after him!.
