Front tire life?
How many runs should a pair of from tires last? I just wore out a set of Hoosiers in less than 100 runs. Last pair of Toyo’s lasted hundreds of runs.
Front end is tight, alignment is good, minimal toe change, car goes and brakes nice and straight.

Re: Front tire life?
Hi Georege, I basically had a set of Hoosiers for 5 years no issues, probably 250 runs

I have and used Moroso and Firestone front tires for years! That said, l suspect if the front tires in question were manufactured in the last two maybe three years, I can only guess that maybe the amount of rubber on the tire is minimal amount to make to tires as light as possible in the last two years, also we have all witnessed the basic decline of quality and service of many of the products that we use. This could be another in a long line of quality issues that's going into the toilet. Just my opinion from my little spot on Long Island. Have a good day. Respectfully, Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA |

Re: Front tire life?
I was never happy with the life of the Hoosier frontrunners, but 100 runs seems ridiculous.
I've been running the Moroso DS-2 for a while and got 4 seasons from my last set.

Re: Front tire life?
I've had very good luck with MT fronts. That being said not so much on the rears. Two sets in a row with cords showing at 70'ish runs. The MT rep said that's about normal.....Buh-Bye!! LOL!
Hoosier rears on both stockers and we get 150-200 passes on em. Wagon has Hoosier fronts with similar life. |

Re: Front tire life?
I have a friend that is still running the same tires (Pro ET) that he has had on his Challenger Stocker since mid 90s. I think he is nuts to keep testing his luck but, they still look the same as they did in 95.

I have a Bud who is the King of used tires. He had one set on his BBC Camaro S/P car that he was so proud of..."Look! 500 Runs!!" I just shake my head.

Hoosier on my car. They are about 5 years old. Look like new. They only see the Sun at the races.
