Keep the printout from your best chassis dyno runs.
Look at your AF target table in that tune file input AF values from the dyno sheet in the proper cells if the tuner did not do it for you. When closed loop the system will work to attain those AF values notice the % of change and edit the fuel table or let the system self adjust. Be sure to save each tune after changes are made. When open loop check the AF for each cell from the data log then compare the actual to the target calculate the % difference from actual to target then add or subtract the % value from the same cell in the fuel map. Save the tune with a unique file name after each change. Calculator, pen and paper required. This is pretty simple but without the basics it seems intimidating you will kick yourself when it makes sense to you computers are actually dumb. YouTube has lots of videos on windows basics as well as these videos from Holley. Engine assembly is much more difficult.

I disagree I built the engine also. Robin Lawrence’s dyno service help me more than I know I think it’s in closed loop and corrects very little. Plugs and pipes look good.
They just called us to the lanes. |

Seems you have some of the best help available to anyone in the country. My comment about engine assembly was made with the knowledge you build your own engines and meant to give you confidence.

I know I’m getting better. I’m just not getting better fast enough to gain confidence and be able to evaluate some of the things I would like to find out about. Things like individual cylinder timing, torsional twist of the crank and how to tune for it, timing injection pulse to reduce to reduce energy in the reversion wave in the intake. And all of these things may help or hurt but it would be nice to know.
