Looking for information on the stud length and thread size. We have a moser 12 bolt with a moser aluminum cover with girdle. Any help would be appreciated

Probably 2 1/4 but I would suggest going to a good hardware store and purchase one stud and check before purchasing 12 of them. It Depends on how much goes in the housing and the thickness of the Moser cover. My plate is 1/2 inch thick plus you have one more gasket.

Want to shoot for an absolute min of 1.0X dia thread engagement in the cast housing. I would run a bottoming tap in the housing to get closer to 1.5X dia taking advantage of the unthreaded tap drill portion of the threaded hole. I would personally not hand drill any of the tapped holes deeper top achieve more thread engagement. Just my $.02 and I am an expert on nothing.

You may have to use longer .500 screws that load the bear caps as well. You can build spacers to make up the addition lenght needed and attach them to your existing ones using a internal snap ring design.
