Default Boniferro Speed & Custom’s Oct 3rd TNT Hot Rod event looks to shake up the points cha

Final TNT event at Dunn Tire Raceway Park for 2008

NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO (September 24, 2008) With the 2008 racing season coming to an end, various champions are being crowned in many different types of racing series across the country. None of them are more exciting and create tighter finishes than the Joe’s Transmission TNT Hot Rod Super Series. Sportsman competitors in southern Ontario & western New York are working their way towards its lucrative year-end championship. On Friday Oct 3rd, Dunn Tire Raceway Park (DTRP) in Lancaster NY will host its fourth TNT Hot Rod event for 2008. Presented by Boniferro Speed & Custom, this “fourth” event on the American side should create considerable change in the TNT points standings given the “best 3 out of 4” races on each side of the border are used to crown the champion.

Bill Elekes (West Seneca NY) was showing he is currently fourth in the standings. However with the points adjusted and the worst Canadian & worst US races deducted, Bill moves up to second spot – only 21 points out of first place! And Jon Jablonski (West Seneca NY) would be right there with him also in second spot. Close behind another 21 points back is Jamie Stoneman (Cheektowaga NY). Rounding out the top five would be Dave Surmatchewski (Oakland ON) only another 9 points back.

Immediately following this event, the teams will head to Toronto Motorsports Park on Saturday Oct 4th for the TNT Double-Header presented by Bieda’s Powersports – TWO 10.90 races in ONE day.

The ninth and final Joe’s Transmission TNT 10.90 Super Series event for the 2008 season will be run later in October – Keep an eye on www.tntsuperseries.com for that announcement.

Gates open 3pm at DTRP on Friday Oct 3rd with the first round of TNT Hot Rod (7.00 index) qualifying at 5pm. Visit www.dunntireracewaypark.com for more details.
