Re: Fallon Open?
I got a text from them today, saying they still had not heard back from the state. They intend to press on unless derailed by the state...

Re: Fallon Open?
I have never been to Fallon Raceway. It looks like it’s gonna be a 100+ degrees, what is the track and town like? I am guessing it’s pretty much like Palmdale, but don’t know.

Re: Fallon Open?
Yeah the DA will be up there. The track is at almost 4000' of elevation. Expect barometer to be 25.8X at best. The track was an old Naval air strip so it has some pretty wide gaps in surface but its not a problem really. The town is small but some hotels and good places to eat there for sure. Its a few miles from the track but not to far. Always had a good time racing there to bad the rest of D7 wouldn't go..

Re: Fallon Open?
Try and not catch a crack on the top end while your looking anywhere but forward. Return road is tight, scales if used are old. Does get hot and there and not a tree to be found.
Now the good things. The folks that run it are super nice, Rick Carlson usually announces and is very sharp. The staging lanes and all that are nice. Fallon is a nice little town with friendly people. Did I mention it gets hot there. Bring water and shade! Best I've seen the fields get are about 25 stockers and 15 super stockers. They have golf cart races and E.T. pot races usually during the weekend. Plus a whole lot of qualifying passes. Paul Haszlauer |

Re: Fallon Open?
Forecast is mid to high 80s...
Be advise that there is road construction on US 95 just north of Coaldale Junction. US95 will be closed and the traveling public will be detoured to US 6 to SR 360 to Mina and back to US95. Construction is to repair roadway damaged by earthquakes a couple of weeks ago. lf you are coming up US 395 after going over Montgomery Pass take a left on SR 360 to Mina and back to US95.
