Default 305 for Bracket Racing

Would you guys use a 305 for bracket racing? I've found many for cheap. Thinking about building one for bracket racing. If I was going to do this what times could i expect? I was thinking 9's in the 1/8th.

Just build a 350, basically same amount of money but more power.
