is there really an advantage to using the 71 model year

Yes in a well prepared high horsepower Stocker or Superstock
if you someone who can prepare it = I only know a few Gentleman
that do them!

It is an Odd Bird!

It is a real pain to find one or even parts for it (Not even Jets)=
It is unique onto itself!

It is the quickest factory small block mopar carb. Much better than the 72 and later carbs and easier to tune..My 4972/4973 carbs out performed the 6138/6139 carbs that I had built by the so called gurus. If you are looking for every last ounce of power worth the effort to get one.
Yes they are very rare. I think I have 6 of them left.
