Electric shifter
Does anyone know if there is an electric shifter system that makes the 1-2 shift electronically, but allows 2-3 shift manually? I am looking for one that works with a Turbo Action cheetah shifter for my turbo 400.

Re: Electric shifter
You can probably do that with an rpm controlled switch like MSD sells , or possibly ACD has something that works . This is going to be a big deal since there isn't too many options anymore to get a controller for an e-trans .

Re: Electric shifter
It is not an e trans issue. I'm just looking for some thing to make the 1-2 shift by rpm, then manually shift the 2-3 shift. I know there are RPM activated switches, but I'm looking for the actually mechanism that will perform the shift on the shifter itself. I thought I had heard of people using something years ago that did this function, shift 1-2 electronically, but allowed the 2-3 shift to be performed manually. Again it's a reverse pattern turbo action cheetah shifter and turbo 400 transmission.

Re: Electric shifter
ACD has a kit that works with a Turbo Action shifter . That's what I use on all my cars .

Re: Electric shifter
What class of car? Stock? Superstock? Bracket?
If Stock, year and model? What kind of trans did the car come with? Did the original trans shift electrically? All of this will lead you to what is legal for use if Stock class racing. If Bracket or Superstock racing than just about anything goes. |

Re: Electric shifter
Any dual rpm box. Set 1-2 shift to desired rpm. Set 2-3 shift to 9999 rpm and shift manually. Will work unless you need more rpm then 9999
