16 volts and haedlights
I know this isn't a SS question but has anyone tried to put 16 volts to a stock headlight did the switch over from 12 volts . They get hot after 5 minutes on 12V but I know thats really 14V on alternator .Will that extra 2V really make a difference or will they just pop Thanks

Re: 16 volts and haedlights
16V does not cause any problems with the bulbs in my car. I don have headlights but the regular stuff like gauge lights and taillight no problems. I doubt it will bother a headlight.

Re: 16 volts and haedlights
I have some bulbs fail early. Not even every year. Fuel pump does pump a little more, cooling fans run faster, only had one factory fan motor fail in seven years. It was a '96 model, may have been going to fail anyway.
